Poetry for Decision

Icarinism

In 2011 it was mistakenly reported that neurinos from CERN could travel
to Italy at a speed faster than light.

The Big Bang started it
when the arrow left its bow.
From then it was ordained that we
had but one way to go.

Out there in the Cosmos
the speed limit was set,
but neutrinos raced to Italy
and Einstein was upset.

So that which was impossible
is now a tick away,
the grandfather paradox
has us in disarray

If we outstrip our time clock
then the arrow is reversed,
we will father all our fathers
as we begat them first.

And as racing further, faster
the universe we span,
we become a singularity,
which is how we all began.
